Women's Health Consultation
The Apothecary Shops offer a woman’s health consultation with our Certified Menopause Educators and Practitioners that discusses perimenopause and menopause. This educational service is designed to help patients understand more about their personal symptoms and the treatment options available.
The consultation can be conducted in person or by telephone, each lasting approximately an hour. A Medical History Questionnaire will be provided by The Apothecary Shops prior to your consultation. During the consultation, current medical study results and different approaches to treatment are explained. The advantages, disadvantages, dosing and effectiveness of various therapies are identified and assessed. Patient lifestyle and personal preferences are considered to develop the best program for each patient’s needs. Follow-up consultations to check on symptoms, adjust medication or answer additional questions also are offered.
After the consultation, recommendations are made to physicians on the patient’s behalf, allowing the pharmacist, physician and patient to work together to provide optimal patient satisfaction and care.
