Treatments
Cancer treatment has been largely dominated by infusion therapy; however, many of the newer treatments have been developed as oral chemotherapy agents. The Apothecary Shops supply these treatments and offer greater convenience for at-home administration but often require specialized education to effectively manage side effects, ensure adherence to therapy and obtain clinically desirable outcomes. Our pharmacist’s partner with patients, caregivers and health-care providers to ensure oral chemotherapy agents are taken correctly and that any adverse drug events are recognized and reported immediately.
