Clomiphene Citrate
Description:
Clomiphene Citrate (Clomid/Serophene) is an ovulatory stimulant. It is indicated for the treatment of ovulatory dysfunction in women desiring pregnancy. Clomiphene Citrate is used to induce ovulation, to correct irregular ovulation, to help increase egg production and to correct luteal phase deficiency.
How It Works:
Clomiphene Citrate is in tablet form and is administered orally. It is taken once daily for approximately 5 days early in the cycle. Clomiphene Citrate works by stimulating the release of follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) that are needed for follicle development and ovulation. Clomiphene Citrate induces ovulation by increasing the output of FSH from the pituitary gland.

Early warning signs include severe pelvic pain, nausea, vomiting and weight gain.
If you experience an allergic reaction: difficulty breathing; closing of your throat; swelling of your lips, tongue or face; or hives; seek emergency medical attention immediately.
