The National Cancer Institute (NCI), established under the National Cancer Act of 1937, is the Federal Government's principal agency for cancer research and training. The National Cancer Act of 1971 broadened the scope and responsibilities of the NCI and created the National Cancer Program. Over the years, legislative amendments have maintained the NCI authorities and responsibilities and added new information dissemination mandates as well as a requirement to assess the incorporation of state-of-the-art cancer treatments into clinical practice.The NCI coordinates the National Cancer Program, which conducts and supports research, training, health information dissemination, and other programs with respect to the cause, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of cancer, rehabilitation from cancer, and the continuing care of cancer patients and the families of cancer patients. It is helpful if you first talk to your health care provider and gather as much information as possible about your particular situation, such as the specific type and stage of cancer, and the type of trial that might be relevant (treatment, diagnostic).

According to this definition, telemedicine has been used in Arizona since the first consultation over a telephone. Interest in using telemedicine to solve a number of problems in health care delivery has been growing worldwide in recent years. Medicaid

If you can't afford to pay for medical care right now, Medicaid can make it possible for you to get the care that you need so that you can get healthy – and stay healthy. Medicaid is available only to certain low-income individuals and families who fit into an eligibility group that is recognized by federal and state law. Medicaid does not pay money to you; instead, it sends payments directly to your health care providers. Depending on your state's rules, you may also be asked to pay a small part of the cost (co-payment) for some medical services. Medicaid is a state administered program and each state sets its own guidelines regarding eligibility and services.
