AIDS Drug Assistence Program (ADAP)

The Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) is responsible for the administration of ADAP for the state of Arizona. ADAP provides access to medications used to treat HIV and prevent the onset of related opportunistic infections for low-income individuals living with HIV/AIDS.

The Office of HIV/AIDS Prevention Program administers more than $2.5 million in federal prevention monies for the state of Arizona. There are currently 37 prevention contracts ADHS oversees. These include HIV counseling and testing done by most county health departments, as well as grants for specific interventions, such as injecting drug users and men who have sex with men. The office also provides conferences and trainings.

Arizona Liver Foundation

The Arizona Chapter of the American Liver Foundation works to support the national mission of preventing, treating and curing hepatitis and other liver diseases through research and education. Led by a voluntary Board of Directors, the Arizona Chapter offers up-to-date information and support to individuals with liver disease and their families, friends, health care professionals and the local community.
With 14 support groups throughout the State, an extensive education program and several fundraising events, the Arizona Chapter is dedicated to educating the public about liver disease and helping those affected by liver disease.
