Patients who have been diagnosed with the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) or Hepatitis C require a significant amount of compassion and education to help them understand their disease as well as their treatment. The Apothecary Shops have found that partnering with physicians and patients can be the key to ensuring optimal treatment outcomes. We have developed customized programs to help patients become more comfortable and successful with their treatment.

These programs include a variety of information sources, tools & services including:

• Medication adherence tips and side-effect counseling
• Specialized injection training, including appropriate aseptic techniques
• Customized, patient-specific monitoring program
• Delivery and shipping (including to rural areas)
• Accepting all major insurance plans, including AHCCCS

By recognizing the need for high adherence to therapy, we have established a series of clinical initiatives designed to monitor and improve therapy adherence, thus promoting optimal outcomes.

Apothecary Shop pharmacists are available to their patients and their prescribing physician(s) on a 24-hour basis. Our level of expertise in treating infectious diseases and the quality of support services we provide to our patients has resulted in active relationships with physicians throughout the Southwest.
