Dr. Jeff Karp earned his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Arizona, College of Pharmacy in 1994. After graduation, he completed his specialty practice residency in Psychiatric Pharmacotherapy at the University of Texas, College of Pharmacy, where he also served as a clinical instructor and clinical assistant professor.
Dr. Karp has more than 13 years of professional pharmacy experience with the last eight years specializing in the field of Reproductive Health.
Dr. Karp joined The Apothecary Shops in January of 1999 and opened the company’s second pharmacy specializing in Pediatrics and Reproductive Health. As Jeff’s interest in Reproductive Health developed, so too did his vision of bringing The Apothecary Shops’ unique blend of caring, compassion and exemplary customer service to couples in need of specialty fertility medications. Following that vision through to the present day, the Apothecary Shops is now the fourth largest fertility specialty pharmacy in the country. In May 2005, Jeff was named National Director of Reproductive Health while maintaining his responsibilities as the Director of our National Mail Order Pharmacy and our lead Clinical Fertility Pharmacist.
As The Apothecary Shops’ National Director of Reproductive Health, Jeff is directly responsible for all aspects of our Reproductive Health program, ensuring that fertility services are consistent at all of our local pharmacies for both patients and providers alike. In addition, Jeff places a high priority in cultivating new relationships with fertility practices as well as strengthening existing partnerships.
Jeff has written numerous articles for professional journals and is active in several professional organizations including the American Society of Reproductive Medicine. Currently, Jeff is an Adjunct Clinical Instructor at Midwestern University, College of Pharmacy, Glendale campus and a Clinical Instructor at the University of Arizona, College of Pharmacy in Tucson, Arizona.
Jeff and his wife, Laura, reside in Scottsdale along with their son Jacob and their newest family addition, a little IVF success story of their own named Benjamin, born in April of 2007. Jeff’s outside interests include collecting key-date United States coins and traveling abroad.
